Background
With over 20 years of experience in the music industry, my career has been dedicated to empowering artists and innovating within the intersection of music, technology, and finance.
I began my journey in music marketing at MTV Networks, where I collaborated with artists and developed promotional campaigns that enhanced their reach and engagement.
As the Head Talent Buyer and Venue Manager for premier New York City venues like The Cutting Room, The Iridium, and Opry City Stage, I worked closely with A-list artists such as Billy Joel, Ronnie Wood, SZA, Childish Gambino, Luke Bryan, Jason Aldean, Pink, Jon Batiste, Pete Seeger, Jackson Browne, Snoop Dogg, Zac Brown and many others. In these roles, I managed all aspects of live event production, talent booking, and venue operations, fostering strong relationships within the industry.
In 2019, I founded SHOWX, the first music tech platform that gave musicians a viable way to own the first party data of the fans that bought their tickets . As CEO, I led the company through the Covid pandemic, through 5 funding rounds and grew an team of 22 music industry and tech elites to empower over 1,000 verified touring artists and partnered with more than 300 venues across the United States.
Our platform facilitated bookings for numerous festivals and events, including over 150 bands at SXSW 2023.
My career arc reflects a dedication to supporting artists at all stages of their careers, leveraging technology and innovative strategies to build broader global audiences and create more impactful, sustainable careers in music.
My commitment to the music community extends to my role on the Steering Committee for the Louis Armstrong Center for Music & Medicine, where I have helped raise millions of dollars through annual fundraising galas.

Career Journey
Lincoln Foley Schofield got into the concert business by accident. Originally from Syracuse, he moved to New York City from Key West in 2006 to be a working musician. Hand surgery took him out of performing for several months, leading him to an online marketing job for SOB’s - a legendary world music venue. This happy accident set in motion a career that would produce thousands of concerts and events including work with dozens of A-list artists, 250k+ tickets sold and over $4 million in ticket sales.
SOB’s owner Larry Gold was shocked at the encouraging results from promoting online, and wanted to expand his programming to rock ‘n roll. The problem he had was nobody at the venue knew anything about rock ‘n roll bands, so he enlisted Lincoln and trained him as a talent buyer. For the next 3 years Lincoln worked for SOB’s on showcases including Kanye West, Common, Lucky Dube, Vusi Mahlasela, Hugh Masekela, Seun Kuti, DJ Rekha and even a couple of his rock ‘n roll heroes; Phil Lesh and Warren Haynes.
Because of his progress with online marketing, MTV hired Lincoln to work in the marketing department part time while still at SOB’s. Originally he was hired to promote the 2007 Woody Awards for MTVu, but was kept on to work on 4 different shows over the next 3 years, including writing the sex questions for Dr. Ruth’s show, SexCred.
In 2010, the restaurant and music venue Hill Country Barbecue Market was growing and hired Lincoln to start booking national country acts to play at their venue on 26th Street. Lincoln, along with owner Marc Glosserman, created the brand Hill Country Live and Lincoln served as their first Director of the new music company. Over the next two and a half years he booked top roots acts including Shooter Jennings, Billy Joe Shaver, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Lukas Nelson, and a benefit concert for the Nashville flood relief in 2010 with Rosanne Cash. He also was the first person to book the band Blackberry Smoke in New York City. In his time with Hill Country, Lincoln helped open and run their restaurant and venue in Washington DC, hosted the first Americana Music Association event in New York City and presented 2 years of official showcases at SXSW.
In the late summer of 2012, Lincoln was introduced to Steve Walter, owner of The Cutting Room and co-owner Chris Noth, the ‘Mr. Big’ actor from Sex and the City. They were getting ready to re-open the venue in an extraordinary new space on 32nd Street and offered Lincoln the Booking Manager position. In the first 3 months, Lincoln landed separate Billy Joel, Zac Brown and Emmylou Harris concerts in the intimate venue. Over the next 3 years Lincoln booked and produced a 3 night run with Ronnie Wood and Mick Taylor of the Rolling Stones, a powerful Pete Seeger concert that was one of his last performances, an evening with Rodriguez after his documentary “Searching For Sugarman” won the Oscar, and a live SiriusXM broadcast with Howard Stern that included performances by Pink, Tony Bennett, Melissa Etheridge, Idina Menzel, Billy Joel and Boyz 2 Men.
Lincoln joined the Opry City Stage team in November of 2016 and began developing the programming strategy for the Grand Ole Opry's first venue outside of Nashville. Along with Ryman Hospitality/Opry Entertainment and their New York partners. In the first year of being open Opry City Stage hosted the biggest names in country music, including a live Good Morning America broadcast with a performance by Luke Bryan and a live SiriusXM broadcast with Jason Aldean. Aside from being a Talent Buyer/Booking Manager for the venue, Lincoln became the Venue Representative, with many TV appearances and print interviews promoting the concept and the brand.
Elephess specializes in booking, marketing, management and content for artists, venues, and brands. Lincoln continues to work with the top venues in New York City, and in 2019 will launch Forever Wild, an artist retreat in Upstate NY with a full service recording studio set in a beautiful country landscape surrounded by farms and nature.
